Google has launched an app that makes it easier for solar security workers to know when they need to take extra precautions to protect their equipment.
The app, which is available for Android and iOS, lets solar security technicians track the status of their equipment using real-time data gathered by solar security software.
“Solar security is one of the most sensitive and complex security threats we face today,” said Dave Bajarin, senior director of energy security at Google, in a blog post.
“As we continue to evolve, our security team is looking at ways to make it easier to get the most out of our systems.”
Solar security is a broad term encompassing various forms of cyber attacks that can compromise equipment.
Security cameras, for example, are often hacked to allow people to see their surroundings.
The devices can also capture and store sensitive information, such as credit card numbers, credit card transactions, and other sensitive data.
The apps can also be used to monitor security breaches and detect possible cyber attacks.
Google has previously been working on an app called Solar Security Watch, which was designed to track the health of solar security equipment.
Google’s Solar Security app was originally slated for launch in October, but Google pulled it from the Google Play store last week.
The company said that it was testing the app on several devices, including an iPad and iPhone, and that it is “actively working on bringing this app to more Android and Apple devices”.
The app works by using real time data collected by a smartphone’s camera to track how the solar security system is performing and displaying an alert on the device’s screen when an emergency occurs.
“The more time the solar system spends monitoring the status and activity of the solar array, the more secure it is,” Bajara wrote.
Google said it was also testing the apps on the Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, S7, S8, S9, and S9+.
The company is still in the early stages of testing its apps for more devices, but the company has confirmed that the first devices to get them will be the Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S8+, Galaxy Note 4, and Galaxy Note 3.
The Galaxy Note line of phones are expected to be released sometime next year.
